WIP Wednesday

Just a quick WIP Wednesday this week, It's been a busy day!

New Projects:
No New Projects this week, although I just spotted Miss Allison's Summer Runner and I think it will be seen next week! Too Cute, My mom was just complaining about needing a new runner. I think I'm going to use an long stashed American Jane Charm pack on this one!

Completed Projects:

No Big Completions, just a couple of quick projects over the weekend.
Tea Towel Apron and Laptop Sleeve

Ongoing Projects:

Baby Quilts
Finished the first of two quilts tops and started piecing the back. Sorry for the dark and indoor pictures, I promise to remember to photograph during the day soon!

I used a Just Wing it by Momo charm park and Oh Fransson's Charm Squares Baby Quilt Pattern. I really loved making the pattern, so quick and easy! I'm planning on doing the second quilt, which is for a boy, in the same pattern and out of Beach Mod Circa 60.

On Hold:

Manly Lattice Quilt Along: I haven't worked on this for a while now, but I'm loving the pattern and am luck warm about my fabric choices. Hopefully some progress and an update on it this week!

Stats:

In Progress: 2
Completed: 2
Stating Soon: 2

More Soon! Happy Wednesday!

Sew Modern Monday

I've long been inspired by Miss Megan's Sew Modern Monday Posts and Link-ups over at Canoe Ridge Creations, so it's about time I participate! Not a lot of sewing time this weekend, but we did manage to watch like 5 movies, whoosh. I've had this Alexander Henry Farmer's Market Print for a long time, way before I moved in to my house, with the intention of making it up into a tea towel apron from my new kitchen. Last night I finally made good on those intentions!

Tea Towel Aprons are my favorite quick apron, since they are practical and quick, requiring very little fabric and taking advantage of the precut towel. I love so many of the cute rufflely skirt aprons out there, but if I'm going to actually use the finished product, I like for them to have a "bib". They'd make a great housewarming or mother's day gift (a little late, huh?). Maybe I'll write up a tutorial for these one day, but its almost too simple to need one! I wanted this one to be a little something special, since I plan on displaying it my kitchen, so I experimented and added a ruffle to the bottom.

I also made this quick laptop sleeve for my little sister, Lauren's graduation gift, since my parents bought her a laptop. I used some of my favorite Amy Butler Sun Spots and Innocent Crush Scraps, as well some of a random FQ I picked up at the quilt shop recently. Sorry for the crappy cell phone picture, It's already been Gifted!

I've also been working on one of two baby quilts and a "manly" quilt from the Me A Mom? Lattice QAL. More on these later...
This is my last week before officially starting my second, and much more of a "big girl" job, so hopefully I can get a lot of productive craftingin! Happy Monday!
